I would like to give a positive answer, YES! It is cheaper compared with India, especially the  MBBS from private institutions extremely expensive. At the same time, I would also like to say that it is not cheap just because its available and the supply meets the demand, hence the mbbs fee structure is economical. In India the government institutes are subsidized and it is as low as 15,000-18,000 rupees for each year, but as you see the private institutions there per year fees is more than 8 lakhs. Now when talking about  studying mbbs abroad , not every university of these countries worth the money. You should thoroughly understand and check the number of passouts and MCI screening results. On the 10th of September 2016 the Medical Council of Mauritius sent to the Government Gazette of Mauritius No. 81 the Medical Council Act which is apparently the government notice No. 185 of 2016.
